About Trotac
Over the past 50 years Trotac has been known as the most trusted marine retailer on Canada’s West Coast in part due to their aim remaining true: they don’t sell you gear you won’t use, they’ll always make sure you have the right parts and know the right way to install it, and if they don’t have it they’ll help you find it.
Trotac is a true family business, founded in 1972 by Pete Thomson and his wife Chris Thomson as a supply store for Pacific Northwest commercial fishing fleets. After years of working at the family business, Pete’s son Campbell partnered with his dad to help Trotac expand. Trotac is proud to service recreational, commercial and industrial clients as well as all three levels of Government. With Campbell’s daughter Jessalyn, and son Ben now involved, three generations have worked hard at Trotac ensuring they always provide the kind of service that keeps their customers out on the water.
In their new 20,000 square foot location, Trotac is able to keep more than 40,000 items from over 300 global suppliers instock, 6 days a week. They have 30-year old relationships with some of the best suppliers and manufacturers of the best products, and they train regularly with them to make sure their fleet of 18 staff experts always have the latest information and skills to share with Trotac customers.
